WIPO General Assembly: Forty-Seventh Session

7 – 9 October 2015

Geneva, Switzerland

IFLA will be represented by IFLA Manager of Policy & Advocacy, Christina de Castell

The main policy and decision making bodies of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) are the General Assembly and the Coordination Committee. Twenty Assemblies, and other bodies of the member states of WIPO and of the Unions administered by WIPO, traditionally meet in ordinary or extraordinary session in Autumn.

These meetings bring together WIPO’s member states, allowing them to take stock of the progress in the Organization’s work and to discuss future policy directions.

The 47th WIPO General Assembly will feature in-depth policy discussions and negotiations on the future development of intellectual property and include the latest Report on the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR).

Meeting, CLM (Committee on Copyright and other Legal Matters), Advocacy, Copyright, Freedom of information, Intellectual property, Switzerland
