Division IV - SET Webinar for LIS Students Getting Engaged with Library Associations

On 22 April 2021 the IFLA Division IV – Support of the Profession launched “A Webinar Series for Library and Information Science Students”. April’s theme was “Getting Engaged with Library Associations – Benefits, Issues, Factors”.

There were four very interesting presentations with five LIS students from Bulgaria, the Philippines, and Russia. They shared their experience of engaging with library associations on three levels – national, regional and international, and inspired participants from around the globe.

The webinar was opened by the Division IV chair Catharina Isberg and information coordinator of the IFLA Management of Library Associations Section Loida Garcia-Febo.

The project team included Catharina Isberg, Loida Garcia-Febo, Kendra Albright, Albina Krymskaya, Susanne List-Tretthahn, Magdalena Gomułka, Paria Tajallipour, Marija Simunovic, and Andrés Reinoso.

The recording is available on the IFLA Section on Education and Training YouTube Channel. You can also see this booklet to know more about the first webinar.

Our next webinar is scheduled for 26 May 2021. See the Call for Proposals.
