IFLA releases 6 videos on Wikidata and Wikibase in Libraries

In February 2020, the IFLA received a grant from the Wikimedia Foundation to carry out a WLIC 2020 satellite event in Dublin. Due to developments related to COVID19, the project was transformed into 6 online discussions with professionals in order to discuss projects, issues, progress of Wikidata, Wikibase and bibliographic data in the field of libraries.

On the afternoon of 4 August 2020, the city of Beirut experienced a disaster of devastating proportions. It was with a heavy heart that we watched footage of the explosion and began receiving news of the aftermath over the hours and days that followed.

IFLA Condemns the Destruction of the Library of the Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela

IFLA has responded with sadness to the destruction of the Central Library of the Universidad de Oriente in Venezuela, and calls on the Venezuelan government and others to do more to protect libraries.

IFLA Responds to UN Consultation on Cultural Rights and Climate Change
