As a global organisation IFLA regularly tries to bridge cultural differences across the library community—perhaps most prominent of which are those related to the diversity of the world’s languages.

The texts of many IFLA documents have been translated into a number of official IFLA languages, and other languages. Differences from the original text may occur. Translations are provided for reference purposes only.

To enhance the multilingual character of IFLA, we welcome translations of IFLA publications in any language that might serve our users, whether in one of the seven official IFLA languages or otherwise. IFLA also welcomes the use of its materials in reprints, quotations, and reproductions in books or journals.

If you are interested in making a translation or reproduce an IFLA publication, please complete the Request for Permissions webform.
